You will be joining an established and diverse team, in a forward thinking, proactive and developing service within the regional major trauma centre. Southamptons PICU is linked to the Southampton Oxford Retrieval Service (SORT) who retrieves critically ill children from 27 District General Hospitals in the South of England. The Technologist team are an integral part of SORT and our duties include: blue light ambulance driving and helicopter or fixed wing flight retrievals to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Wight. What were looking for: An enthusiastic and forward thinking individual eager to develop their skill set. The service we provide is 24 hours a day 7 days a week and the applicant must be prepared to work 12.5 hour shifts. We are looking for a Service Manager to lead the staff team in our supported housing service in Southampton. While the successful applicant will have practical experience in change management, they will also be enthusiastic, a good communicator, passionate and positive.
The post covers a 43-bed service lifehouse for people experiencing homelessness and 10 bed short stay service is provided to single adults aged over 18 years of age and who are new, or relatively new to sleeping on the streets. It has a dedicated staff team. There is also a social enterprise café on site.
Key Responsibilities: This role is vital to the success of the projects providing leadership and inspiration to the staff and encouraging an enabling environment, leading in psychologically informed practice within the values of The Salvation Army. NVQ4 or equivalent in a related field
Proven experience of managing teams

We'd like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker for our client in the Gosport area.

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support our female client with cerebral palsy and neuro diverse needs within her own home in Gosport. You will move into the client’s home and support her with personal care (including washing/showering, dressing and toileting), moving and handling, domestic tasks and social activities.

Meet the client:

I like a support worker who takes their time to understand me and includes me in general day to day tasks such as cooking, watching the television and providing social interaction with me taking the time to find common ground. I have a good sense of humor; I am a quirky and sociable person. I like to chat and have a good laugh and banter with my support worker.

I spend alot of time on my computer during the day and I like to do this independently. I also love listening to music.

When you'll be working:

Assignments 2 weeks long
Regular consistent work with set rolling rotas
You must commit to working regularly each month to enable continuity of care for our clients
Zero hours contract


What you'll have:

Kind and caring nature
Flexibility & reliability – continuity of care is imperative for our clients
Good communication skills
Our client requires support with driving, therefore you must hold a full UK drivers licence
