Group HSE Manager - Manufacturing - £50,000 to £60,000

About The Company

Based in the Greater Manchester area, my client an established, privately owned Manufacturing business are currently looking to recruit an experienced HSE Manager with extensive experience across the General / Industrial Manufacturing sector.

As Group HSE Manager you will take responsibility for managing and overseeing the Group's manufacturing facilities across 4 sites in the Greater Manchester area, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety in accordance with company procedures, local authority and national & international legislation.

Group HSE Manager - Responsibilities

• Manage all health and safety related issues across 4 manufacturing facilities
• Ensure legal compliance for health and safety by conducting regular audits and inspections
• Lead training with new and existing members of staff whilst identifying and assisting in any staff development opportunities, including the maintenance of training records and development of training plans
• Effective internal communication in all health and safety issues, keeping site managers and production leaders aware in a prompt and timely manner
• Use continuous improvement techniques to improve the HSE performance and management system
• Control and manage department budget spend
• Assist and support in the creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements across all sites
• Ensure all Group activities are conducted safely and within the company's Health and Safety Procedures, including the correct PPE and suitable equipment for the areas of work.
• Ensure a positive and pro-active health & safety culture is maintained.
• Chair all monthly health & safety meetings across the Group and to record such meetings and take/manage actions on the findings raised
• Ensure accidents and near-miss investigations are conducted in a timely manner, including root cause analysis and corrective action implantation.
• Coordinate and arrange the preparation of site asbestos and fire risk assessment surveys across the entire Group, coordinating the management of actions as a consequence, in conjunction with the appropriate General Managers
• Complete and document quarterly housekeeping / workplace inspections and manage internal actions with the appropriate General Managers /Production Managers / Team Leaders etc.
• Complete COSHH assessments as needed and involvement in MSDS documentation review / compilation.
• Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures, and objectives regarding processes, initiatives and projects
• Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO9001, 14001 & 45001

Group HSE Manager - Education & Experience Requirements

• Ideally hold NEBOSH Diploma or similar qualification
• Previous experience in a similar single or mutli site Senior HSE Management role, with a demonstrable track record of driving behavioral safety and a culture of zero harm
• Previous experience of working with fast-paced, process-based general / industrial manufacturing environments
• Proven experience in driving change and improvements, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
• Knowledge and experience of DSEAR / ATEX requirements would be extremely beneficial
• Previous experience across process-based manufacturing environments such as Technical Textiles, Rubber / Polymer, Plastics manufacturing would be highly beneficial

What You Will Do:


Support Management: Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure it operates efficiently, profitably, and delivers the highest standard of domiciliary care.

What We Are Looking For:


Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector is essential.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care required. Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards.

A client within the public sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to undertake all fire safety management duties, manage the FRA remedial works programme, act as the lead for property fires, liaise with GMFRS for and to work with the Building Safety Manager

The Role

Reporting to our COO, this role will be responsible for the operational support functions of Food and Beverage, Guest Experience, Security, Health and Safety and Maintenance. We have an exciting opportunity for a Cancer Care Co-ordinator’s to join our clinical oncology Head & Neck team.

Full Time position – Head and Neck Team

The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer. If successful you will be offered an opportunity to work within this oncology speciality across varied clinics and patients.

Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills are essential.

The post holder will work alongside the Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) /Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) teams, their responsibilities will include
• Assisting the CNS /ACP team with the facilitation and implementation of Holistic Needs assessment within the disease group.
• Responsible for triaging phone calls and emails to the CNS /ACP service.
• Providing support with administrative services including referrals to Macmillan and District Nurses.
• Attend relevant clinics with the CNS/ACP team and interact with patient and relatives.
• Willing to undertake relevant training days within the disease group and cancer pathway.
• Willing to attend relevant MDT sessions if needed.
• Signposting patients to relevant services

You will be part of a core team of CNS and ACPs within a wider team of consultants, registrars, speech and language therapists, dieticians, and research staff.

The Head and Neck team provides a comprehensive service to patients at all stages of their cancer journey. These patients may be receiving treatment with curative or palliative intent as well as best supportive care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide administrative support to the CNS/ACPs.
• Maintain the patient Database and ensure all of the information is up to date and accurate
• Order supplies and patient information as requested by the CNS/ACPs. Assist the CNS/ACPs with the management of the patient pathway ie ensuring that appointments have been requested and booked.
• Organise and prioritise the designated workload in order to meet the needs of the service. Assist the CNS/ACPs with handover of patient care to other teams in order to facilitate safe and effective transition of care. Communicate effectively with a range of patients and health and social disciplines. This may include a variety of methods, such as electronic or in person.
• Triage telephone and email enquiries, using criteria agreed with the core team.
• Ensure patients/carers know how to contact the service when their condition / needs have changed, including out of hours.
• Provide general information and support about cancer services, using Trust approved literature. Sign-post patients and relatives/carers to appropriate services such as Maggie’s and Macmillan in order for them to speak to professionals who are able to discuss issues knowledgeably and impartially.
• Demonstrate the ability to recognise situations that require rapid response from a health care professional (CNS/ACPs or doctor) and respond appropriately. Evaluate outcomes of care delivery with the registered practitioner.
• Act as an advocate and facilitator for patients; linking with CNS/ACPs to resolve any issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
• · Assist the CNS/ACPs with the roll out of Holistic Needs Assessment and electronic patient outcomes (eproms) within the disease group



Professional/Clinical Leadership:
• To act as a role model to colleagues, and be an effective resource to patients, carers and colleagues.
• Support clinical developments and projects to promote excellence in patient care.
• Attend and participate CNS/ACPs Away Days and Strategy Meetings
• Recognise personal limitations and work within parameters of job description, or as guided by CNS/ACPs. Seek help appropriately.



Education and Development.
• To participate in annual appraisal and accept personal responsibility for growth and development within the role.
• Ensure compliance with Trust essential training.
• Attend educational meetings and conferences, appropriate to the role, in order to keep up-dated with current best practice.
• Together with other professional colleagues, develop information and resources for patients and their carers.



Research and Audit
• Assist CNS/ACPs in audit and evaluation of service delivery and help identify areas for improvement and change.
