YOUR ROLE

As an Import Operational Care Specialist (Revenue Care), you will be an integral part of our Operational Care Centre (OCC). You will handle the timely processing of tasks using excel reports and the financial system (ACON) ensuring all costing and gross profit (GP) are accurately managed. Your primary responsibilities will checking and actioning open operational files whilst maintaining seamless communication with Customer Care Specialists within the Customer Care Locations (CCL). You will play a critical role in managing the flow of information between various teams and external stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with our high standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timely closing of the ledger financial platform for all files (FSL), coordination with costing, billing (OCC), and CCL teams to resolve discrepancies;
• Perform timely and accurate recognition of revenue, reviewing all files to ensure proper procedures and guidelines are followed to capture gross profit for deadlines end of month/year;
• Ensure accurate gross profit for all contracted freight and UK charges;
• Maximise gross profit on every shipment by ensuring correct profit share and sales quotation is linked on every shipment file;
• Monitor and address discrepancies with carrier invoices, escalating, as necessary;
• Raise freight and additional charge invoices to our customers when required;
• Report/reviewing data using excel. Ability to analyse data with a view to maximizing profitability on job level and identifying areas for improvement on supplier and customer level;
• Serve as a key contact for the services within your scope;
• Engage in regular communication with Customer Care Locations, other OCC departments, Kuehne + Nagel offices overseas, and suppliers, building strong relationships.

• Experience in either freight forwarding or transport planning preferably with the focus on sea freight
• Experience in bookkeeping or finance
• Experience in Import Operations as well in processing data and task based work is advantageous
• Ability to understand and execute new processes

Theatre Logistics Support

Salary £23,000

Hours 7:00am - 4:00pm / 11:00am - 6:00pm (Possible Saturday Rotation)

This role requires a large amount of positive and effective interaction with all levels of customers, suppliers, and management teams. The Theatre Logistics Support is a Genmed representative on site and as such interaction with the customer and the supplier staff is required to be of the highest professional level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute all received stock, goods and equipment including NHS Supply Chain orders to the appropriate areas within Theatres, Recovery, Logistics and surrounding Departments.
• Goods receipting of soft and consumable items in accordance with stock management systems.
• Support with the completion of consumable stock takes in the storeroom and other associated store areas and advising of any stock shortages or stock outs.
• General housekeeping and tidying of all areas assigned to the role including storeroom, overflow rooms, Recovery Storeroom.
• Emptying of rubbish within storage cages moving them to the designated disposal areas whilst returning all empty cages back to the external stores.
• Liaise and communicate with the external stores around the delivery and receiving of orders in a timely manner to avoid disruption to the department.

About You:

• Organisation and attention to detail - maintaining accurate records & tracking inventory is crucial.
• Inventory Management - Experience in managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and placing orders to ensure that supplies are always available when needed.
• Communication skills - Good communication skills are necessary to interact with hospital staff, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of supplies.

The position is based in the consumables room or 'stores' room, close to the operating theatres within the hospital. As a result of this it is likely that the incumbent will be required to wear surgical scrubs on occasion. There is some manual handling involved with this position however, the candidate will not need to hold any special licenses in relation to the same. It is a very busy environment to work in with multiple queries and conflicting priorities.

What you will be doing

• Communicate with customer, warehouse and forwarder in day to day operations

• Validating shipping documents from vendors, ensuring document completeness and accuracy adhering to SOP
