This post is essential in supporting with the establishment across the main sites. The Service Delivery Manager is an integral role within the directorate and strategically key in maintaining operational performance. The role requires someone who has the capability to identify opportunities for service redesign, focusing on patient centred approach to deliver through short and long term solutions.

The Service Delivery Manager will support the Deputy General Manager and Business Managers on a day to day basis in the operational and business management of the Directorate including planning capacity and arranging short and long term cover within the administrative team. • This role will support the DGM and Business Managers (BM) on a day to day basis in the operational and business management of the Directorate.
• The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the management of staff and budgets for designated areas and work with a wide variety of internal departments, services and external agencies.

We are looking for a talented QIS Nurse to join the Neonatal Outreach team.

Our neonatal service is the largest neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) service within North West Londonandprovides care to high risk, critically ill neonates, and integrating the family into care is one of our guiding principles. This supports parents in becoming partners in care, participating in providing active care for their baby with the help of competency based training, support and education. As a QIS, qualified in specialty, Neonatal Nurse you would join the Neonatal Outreach team working across both of our hospital sites and in the community. We are looking for a skilled nurse to join the Outreach team to develop your skills in assessing, planning and facilitating discharges. Our family centred approach supports early discharge for all babies being discharged from our Neonatal units including those with complex needs such as home oxygen and Naso-gastric tube feeding.

You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision in both the hospital and the community setting.

Working as part of a multi-professional team co-ordinating the discharge of babies with on-going special needs both in the hospital and as part of the outreach service; will work in partnership with the parents, empowering them to meet their baby’s on-going special needs following discharge and the continuity of care in the community and home setting

Teaching and supervising families, nursing and non-nursing staff and be a resource person within the unit for discharge planning. The post holder is required to have flexible working hours and to deputise for the Lead Neonatal Critical Care Community Outreach Nurse where required.

Are you considering a career in Intensive Care as the next step on your Band 5 pathway or as a newly qualified Registered Nurse?

At Imperial, our Critical Care department is in a period of expansion to 100 ICU beds across units. We are therefore looking to recruit into multiple new nursing roles.

As a result, we have reviewed and redeveloped our new starter pathway, to ensure it meets the needs for new to practice Registered Nurses and those that may not have previous ICU or acute hospital experience. What we do ask is that you have a desire to be developed, learn and are able to thrive in a busy, acute, challenging environment.

We provide new recruits to the specialty with a 10-week induction programme, during which you will be supported to gain IV competence. Classroom-based training takes place alongside 6 weeks of supernumerary practice. Additionally, you will attend study days in pain, epidural management, and Immediate Life Support. You will complete the programme having acquired the essential knowledge and skills to enable you to practice safely and autonomously as an ICU nurse.

This structured pathway will prepare you for enrolment to the university based Critical Care Course, which provides the opportunity to progress to a Band 6 role.

St Mary’s Hospital Adult Intensive Care has 32 beds, which incorporates the Major Trauma ICU for North-West London and the regional vascular service.
