The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks.  As a Solutions Consultant you provide technical leadership and expertise and guidance in your customer’s security transformation journey. 

You will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer’s key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of their investment with Palo Alto Networks.  You evangelize our industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services that establish PANW as your customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice.

• (OT) - Identifying technical stakeholders and cultivating relationships with key personas to build and drive a security architecture transformation roadmap

• The incumbent coordinates SNPLMA-funded projects for the Federal, state, and local government agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
• Provides independent leadership, direction, advice, assistance, and guidance as necessary to complete projects in accordance with the SNPLMA Implementation Agreement and Appropriation Law principles.
• Coordinates and provides project nomination preparation assistance and guidance.
• Facilitates SNPLMA projects with the Subgroup, Partners Working Group and Executive Committee meetings in which nominated projects are reviewed, ranked, and approved.
• Is responsible for coordinating modifications to the strategic goals, ranking criteria, and nomination requirements.
• Develops methods for solving new, unpredictable, and unprecedented problems, constraints, situations, and issues and consults with leadership on solutions.
• Establishes and maintains a professional, effective, and impartial relationship with all SNPLMA-related agencies, entities, and organizations.
• Tracks, monitors, and oversees all past, current, and proposed projects, ensuring the Government receives what is specified in the project nomination and financial instrument.
• Is responsible for coordinating changes in the project scope, time, and/or amount through the preparation and decision of issue-specific decision memoranda.

This position is located in the Department of the Chief Program Office, AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps).

The Unit Leader is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of assigned Team Leaders (who in turn manage a group of Corps Members) to facilitate the successful completion of multiple service projects. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Provides leadership to 7 to 10 Team Leaders in the implementation of service projects that are accomplished by approximately 10 Corps Members per team. With a focus on Corps Member development and service learning, logistics, and safety, the Unit Leader will plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the accomplishment of personal and project goals.
• Executes development strategies that will increase retention and result in a continuous learning and developmental experience for Corps Members.
• Guides, advises and evaluates Team Leaders on project execution and Corps Member development and management.
• Works with project sponsors to oversee the quality of the team's work and the achievement of project objectives. Resolves project execution issues that impact project completion and/or team performance.
• Conducts site visits to on-going projects to assess project progress, as well as Corps Member development progress, and to provide assistance.
• Reviews Team Leader reports, project portfolios, and individual team biographical marketing brochures.
• Takes appropriate action in adverse situations involving injury, health or safety of Corps Members and Team Leaders.
• Manages all disciplinary issues that arise on assigned teams.
• Collaborates with other staff members to design training for Corps Members that address team building, interpersonal communication, project and personal safety, conflict management, van driver safety, and group dynamics.
• Oversees the development and implementation of individual team physical activities program. Physical activities are identified based on the needs and abilities of each team.
• Oversees and approves direct and independent service hours performed by members. Independent service hours are 80 hours of volunteer service that each Corps Members solicits and completes during their free time.
• Develops or revises policies and procedures, as necessary.

• Planning and leading design projects that deliver value to stakeholders.
• Managing the design work and resources to ensure teams have access to clearances, tools, and customers needed to conduct discovery, user research, and usability testing.
• Using the most effective research and design tools for improving government services based upon quantitative and qualitative assessments.
• Leading cross functional teams by collaborating with all decision making stakeholders, such as people who work in privacy, legal, policy, and regulatory areas to improve the digital services government delivers to the public.
• Designing and conducting discovery sprints, user research, usability testing, and other design activities that identify problems and generate solutions that meet end-user and organization needs.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Primary source of advice to the APHIS Administrator and senior leaders regarding economic and policy analyses.
• APHIS liaison for economic analyses with various policy staffs of the Department and with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
• Primary source of expertise on benefit-cost analysis and other economic methodologies in support of policy development and planning.
• Plans and directs economic and/or benefit-cost analyses of APHIS policy changes in support of rulemaking.
• Leads RIAs as required by Executive Orders 13563 and 12866 for significant or economically significant rules.
• Analyzes the impacts of APHIS regulations on agricultural products, affected industries, consumers and the U.S. economy as a whole.
• Plans and directs the conduct of short- and long-term analyses of APHIS issues, programs, and policies using benefit-cost analysis, econometric analysis and other analytical techniques.
• Provides guidance to other APHIS Staffs on analytical techniques for analyzing potential socio-economic and trade impacts of APHIS policy issues.
• Directly supervises EPAS staff in facilitating Agency economic and policy analyses and ensures these analyses use the most current data and the economic analytical frameworks available for the task.
