The school began as the Department of Economics and Finance in 1990 and in 2005 the discipline of Marketing joined the Department to become the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing. As a School we aim to provide practical, relevant, and innovative economics, finance, marketing, blockchain enabled business and social impact programs; research; industry training and consulting which graduates, employers, industry and university peers acknowledge as amongst the best available in the international marketplace.

We offer undergraduate programs in Economics, Finance and Marketing, postgraduate programs in Finance and in Marketing and Blockchain Enabled Business and higher degrees by research (Masters or PhD) in all three of our disciplines (Economics, Finance and Marketing). Our undergraduate programs are also offered at RMIT Vietnam and through our partnership with The Singapore Institute of Management.

The KYC Wholesale Banking Lead is responsible for ensuring the completeness and quality of all CDD, FATCA, CRS and ESR requirements for Wholesale Banking customers.

You will be leading the local KYC Analysts who prepare KYC Packs for submission for review and approval. Coordinate training and development of Analysts to be familiar and confident in the application of the latest Work Place Instructions.

Staying a step ahead with KYC completing Packs prior to entering a business relationship with a customer and reviews before to periodic review date.

What you’ll do

Act as local subject matter expert on all KYC matters including initial KYC and all continuous monitoring requirements.
Maintaining KYC dashboard for Australia to support management monitoring of workflow and roadblocks.
Responsibility for annual KYC scope planning for Wholesale Banking Australia.
Ensure Global Policies & Minimum Standards and Local Regulatory Requirements are adhered to for KYC
Monitoring work quality of KYC analysts. This would also involve close co-ordination with signatories and ensuring development points raised are appropriately actioned on.
What we’re looking for

3-4 years’ experience in a KYC customer due diligence role (including Wholesale Banking or Institutional KYC)
5 + years’ experience in the financial sector
Strong communication skills – consistent & effective for both verbal & written
An experienced people leader – passionate in uplifting your teams performance and creating a high performance culture
Ability to perform with tight deadlines with exceptional communication, influencing and time management skills
