As a Regulatory Reporting, Client Operations Associate, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager in overseeing the offshore team and be the liaison point for clients on their regulatory reporting deliverables and queries. You will use your knowledge of regulatory reporting and accounting to resolve issues to completion and escalate as appropriate, ensuring that service delivery standards are continuously in alignment with the terms of the service level agreement between J.P. Morgan and the client.

You must exhibit an ability to work with other functional areas both locally and globally, to ensure the provision of a timely and efficient level of service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the regulatory reporting deliverables from the offshore teams including second review and monitoring timeliness & quality of their deliverables
- Analyze large quantities of data to ensure classifications and other data points are accurate and as per the regulatory requirements
- Be part of the workflow to produce the regulatory reporting which may include running data checks and assisting to resolve queries from the offshore team
- Work in partnership with the offshore team to resolve client queries
- Escalate issues identified in a timely manner
- Assist with platform transitions, new business onboarding and other strategic projects for regulatory reporting
- Monitor KPIs and work towards continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
- Previous experience with APRA reporting
- Minimum 4 years relevant industry experience in the financial services sector
- Relevant knowledge and experience will be considered in conjunction with related business degree, or industry recognized training (CPA, CA, ACCA, SIA, AFSA)
- Able to work under pressure, prioritise appropriately, meet deadlines and juggle simultaneous demands
- Demonstrated experience in accounting for funds including trial balance concepts
- Demonstrated working knowledge of various financial instruments and their classifications
- Attention to detail, particular as it pertains to data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

- Takes accountability for issues and actions to ensure client and internal expectations are met
- Continuously displays strong analytical skills and attention to detail

The Person

Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications
