A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Social Media and Administration Assistant to join our client who have a desirable reputation in the new build housing market. You will work from their spacious Head Office in Barnwood, Gloucester on a full time permanent basis.

Your main responsibility will be to assist the Marketing and Digital lead (MDL) and Head of Marketing (HOM) with implementing their marketing and social media campaigns, whilst also supporting the sales team in the achievement of new home sales. You’ll be working within an environment where customer service is key! In return for your work you will have the opportunity to input your own ideas and experience making the role your own.

The successful applicant will be someone who can demonstrate a good understanding of the marketing process including digital marketing and social media. You must be a team player with good general office skills behind you and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities:
-Liaise with MDL to ensure website and portals are up to date with all content
-Assist with the maintenance of all listings on Rightmove ensuring regular updates to maximise algorithm opportunities
-Work with the MDL to build and distribute HTML digital artwork to relevant channels to ensure campaigns run in unison for each development
-Work with the MDL & HOM in the creation of internal and stakeholder campaigns
-Assist with all social media content creation, scheduling and planning in collaboration with MDL
-Assist with the production of corporate communication leaflets
-Work with MDL to monitor and record sponsorship effectiveness
-Working alongside the sales team to assist with the collation of sales and marketing reports, receiving customer ‘extra’ requests to obtain quotes
-Any additional ad hoc tasks to assist with the MDL and HOM

Candidate Attributes:
-Hold a degree or have previous working experience social media / marketing
-IT literate with good Microsoft skills
-Knowledge of different social media platforms
-Team player with ability to work alongside different departments
-Positive outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude
-A strong desire to develop skillset and become a vital member of a team

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, Friday, 8:30am – 5pm

And we’re looking for an experienced Communications Officer to deliver creative communications that help inspire 1million people to take action to protect, restore and create bigger, better, more connected wetlands.

This role will work across communications disciplines, flexing to support the team’s priorities. However, there will be a particular focus on external campaigning and helping to build a bolder voice for wetlands through communications and campaigning activity. This is a really exciting opportunity to make a real difference for nature, to speak up for wetlands and wildlife and inspire new and existing audiences with our messages.

We’re an organisation of action, running multiple conservation projects and networks in the UK and around the world, as well as our own 10 wetland visitor sites in the UK. This hands-on role demands flexibility, imagination and a willingness to lead on delivering impactful and dynamic communications. You’ll help us tell the story of wetlands and WWT, inspire our colleagues and volunteers and support our campaigning capacity at WWT.

About You

We are seeking an individual:

Experienced in delivering successful communications plans aimed at a diverse range of audiences, including the public, supporters, policy makers and stakeholders.
With a track record of delivering creative communications activity across a range of internal and external channels, including social, events, media, PR and digital content.
A creative thinker and engaging writer, you’ll be able to seek out and tell stories aimed at driving public engagement and behaviour change, which leads to direct action for a cause.
With experience pitching stories proactively into the media, and a general understanding of the media landscape.
Comfortable building relationships externally and internally, with a range of levels and stakeholders from journalists and partners to senior leaders and volunteers.
Experienced in working in complex organisations and turning technical data and evidence into engaging communications and campaigns to inspire and drive support with key target audiences.
Organised and able to manage competing priorities while remaining calm in a busy working environment.
Looking for an opportunity to work across communications disciplines and willing to flex according to priorities.
With an interest in public affairs, politics and/or news within the environmental sector.

Join Babcock as a Communications Engineering Apprentice and enter the innovative world of IT and communication systems as you build the skills needed for an exciting future in communications engineering.

About the programme
On this 3-year apprenticeship programme, you'll get to work on all types of communication equipment, IT and computer networks, repairing and restoring vital communication systems and services for our customers.
During this time, you will earn a competitive apprentice wage, gain technical experience in the workplace and obtain academic qualifications.

Working onsite with engineering mentors, you'll learn about the key components required to provide a robust and reliable communication system, whilst gaining multiple technical skills including:

• Fault finding and component replacement
• Soldering
• Testing and measuring
• Equipment maintenance
• System set up and maintenance
• Equipment calibration
• You'll perform maintenance on communications systems, carry out performance tests, complete fault diagnosis and repair communication systems. You'll also support in the development of new systems and customer projects, alongside expert communications engineers.

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you'll become a qualified Communications Engineer playing a critical role within our Communications Engineering team ensuring that systems meet the required level of service.

Your education/training:

• As part of the structured training programme, you will gain qualifications that will help you on your way to becoming a qualified Communications Engineer.
• You'll attend formal BTEC training courses every 6 weeks on subjects such as Electronics, Mathematics, Computer Systems and Telecommunications.

During your apprenticeship, you will be focused on completing your Level 3 Radio Network Technician Apprenticeship. You will also work towards gaining a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications and a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles.

What you'll need

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at C/4 grade including English and Maths at Grade B/6.
• 2 A Levels at grade C or above (or equivalent) - Maths and Science are desirable, but not essential.
• You will need to demonstrate a passion for engineering and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will be able to work well in a team, communicate with others well, possess good organisational skills and have excellent attention to detail.
