• Knowledge in electrical wiring drawing.
• Programming knowledge in C#, Visualbasic, C++ and ladder logic programming.

• You will design, develop, implement, and maintain complex dosimetry processing instrumentation and associated software and procedures for various types of routine and unusual dosimetry occurrences.
• You will provide direction, oversight, troubleshooting, and technical assistance for all instrumentation use and problem resolution.
• You will maintain complex analysis instrumentation, associated software and procedures for various types of routine and unusual radioactivity analyses.
• You will investigate, resolve, document, and review circumstances surrounding unusual health physics occurrences.
• You will conduct research projects and submit official correspondence with recommendations to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) on important health physics topics.

• You will serve as an Electrical Engineer in the Crane Engineering Branch of Waterfront Support Department C200, TRIDENT Refit Facility in Kings Bay, Ga.
• You will review electrical aspects of designs for facilities being constructed by others to determine completeness, adequacy and functionality of WHE.
• You will investigate/ prepare the electrical portion of plans and specifications to provide engineering solutions to complex technical problems associated with WHE/ MHE.
• You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, implementing and data collection/ analysis of WHE electrical spares, maintenance, overhaul and replacement.
• You will provide services regarding the electrical aspects of WHE to TRIDENT Refit Facility.

• You will plan, coordinate, and monitor the work of lower grade engineers, technicians, craft workers, and/or military support personnel.
• You will provide administrative direction with assignments in terms of broadly defined testing/evaluation mission or functions.
• You will provide management control of nuclear engineering work involved with testing, installation, monitoring, and operation of naval vessel propulsion plant systems.

The duties and responsibilities of the Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (Information Systems) include but are not limited to the following:

• Lifecycle management of advanced imaging or radiological devices to include physical and network support. Completes both routine and complex assignments involved in the installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of these complex therapeutic and diagnostic devices and systems. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of imaging techniques, technologies, radiological practices, and procedures in resolving highly complex equipment failures that have immediate risks to patient safety. Coordinates and works effectively with other facility support departments including but not limited to Facilities Management Service (FMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT),Sterile Processing Service (SPS), and Environmental Management Service (EMS). Specific tasks include but are not limited to incoming inspections, regular and unscheduled maintenance, and planning for end of life replacement in conjunction with clinical services.
• Utilizes advanced radiological test equipment including but not limited to radiation dosimeters, calibration phantoms, high voltage testing devices, KV and MA meters and monitor calibration devices in addition to common test equipment including electrical safety analyzers, oscilloscopes, patient simulators, pulse generators, network analyzers, and multimeters, among others.
• Troubleshoots and maintains radiology information systems and interfaces (i.e. HL7, DICOM, TCP/IP) with EHR alongside PACS Administrators, OIT, BESS (Biomedical Information Systems) and other experts.
• Performs advanced testing and troubleshooting of advanced imaging or radiological devices involving their interfaces and connections to other medical devices or information systems either directly or through the facility's hardwired and wireless networks. Adheres to Medical Device Isolation Architecture (MDIA) Guidelines inboth pre-procurement and during system implementation, and system management. Loads operating system (OS) and clinical application software as needed. Executes VA guidelines when responding to network incident response (due to infection, loss of services or regional and local policy changes).
• As assigned, employee is responsible for lifecycle management of other medical devices and systems such as life support, dialysis, and monitoring to include physical and network support. Completes both routine and complex assignments involved in the installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of these complex therapeutic, diagnostic and life support medical devices and systems.
• Maintains functional knowledge of relevant safety codes and standards of regulatory bodies including but not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), American College of Radiology (ACR), Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).
• Documents all work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory body requirements, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Documentation of Services guidelines and other organizational requirements. Maintains required medical physicist reports and other device reports for all assigned imaging devices.
• As assigned, functions as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and keeps appropriate certification levels. Uses knowledge of government contract procedures and documentation requirements to develop statements of work, sole source justifications, other applicable documentation (6550, Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), etc.) and to oversee vendor work. Collaborates with Logistics and Contracting to procure parts and services.
• Maintains knowledge of the state of the art in medical technology, including scientific advances, network protocols, and vendor changes. Focuses on professional development in all areas of medical technology lifecycle management including technical skills. Knowledge and training is obtained from formal (conference, classes) or informal (magazines, articles, peer training) means. May be required to attend lengthy training as many radiological imaging equipment courses can have a duration greater than one month.
• Provides training and education as appropriate to medical technology end users and clinical staff.
• Provides mentoring and technical training to peers and development graded BESS.

• Inspecting contractors operations to determine compliance with contract requirements.
• Establishing and maintaining horizontal and vertical control for construction contracts.
• Meeting with other district elements to assist in recommending solutions to engineering and management problems relating to acquisition of real estate rights-of-way, pipeline easements, setting soil boring locations.
• Utilize basic and advanced skills for use of land and hydrographic survey software and data collection hardware for the purpose of obtaining field data and producing work in final form.
• Using Global Positioning System (GPS) hardware and software to perform static and RTK surveys and when possible to layout and control construction, provide reference points, and lines for subsequent related work.
• Assisting project engineers in developing scopes of work, preparing Government estimates and technical specifications, and supervision and administration of contract survey work.

This position is located at the Milo C Huempfner VA Medical Center, Green Bay. The Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) provides sterilization, preparation, supply items and reusable medical equipment decontamination and distribution support for the medical center.

Duties:
-Receives contaminated critical and semi-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) in the decontamination area and may receive noncritical equipment in the decontamination area as well.
-Disassembles the RME and determines the correct cleaning method, such as but not limited to ultrasonic cleaners, mechanical washers, cart washers and chemical cleaning/decontamination agents, as determined by manufacturer instructions.
-Inspects, assembles, and determines the correct method and packaging for sterilization such as but not limited to steam, Sterrad, Steris, and high level disinfecting scope reprocessors.
-Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all sterilization equipment.
-Prepares operating room case carts daily utilizing surgery schedule.
-Removes soil, blood, tissue fragments, body fluids and other contaminants by wiping, soaking, rinsing and scrubbing.
-Inspects packages for indications of proper sterilization, assembles basic sets and trays used throughout the medical center including those used in the operating room.
-Operates equipment involved in sterilization processes.

Work Schedule: First Shift, times will vary between 6am-630pm with holiday and weekend rotation.
