Felton International Group, a leader in aluminium outdoor furniture, is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Storeman, Packing & Dispatching Team Leader to coordinate warehouse operations. This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, has strong organizational skills, and can effectively manage a small team. The Team Leader will be responsible for the packing, dispatch, and inventory processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, motivate, and supervise a small team to ensure smooth warehouse operations, setting daily goals and monitoring performance.
Provide training and guidance to ensure team members follow best practices in packing, dispatching, and inventory management.
Conduct performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and supporting professional development.
2. Packing Operations
Oversee the accurate packing of goods, ensuring company standards and customer specifications are met.
Manage stock levels of packaging materials, tracking inventory to prevent shortages and ensuring timely reordering.
Supervise handling and storage practices to minimize damage and ensure quality control in labeling and packaging.
3. Dispatch Operations
Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure efficient and timely dispatch of goods.
Ensure accurate completion of shipping documentation, including packing lists, labels, and bills of lading.
Troubleshoot and resolve dispatch issues, addressing delays or shipment errors as needed.
4. Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce adherence to safety protocols, warehouse regulations, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and report any hazards, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
5. Process Improvement & Efficiency
Continuously assess packing and dispatch processes, implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and logistics teams to streamline processes and improve turnaround times.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of packing and dispatch activities, tracking inventory levels and team performance.
Provide regular reports to management, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years in warehouse operations, with 1-2 years in a leadership role
Skills: Strong leadership, attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality
License: Forklift license
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and carrying items, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time role based in a warehouse setting, with occasional overtime as needed.
