Basic Qualifications

• Develops, documents and ensures compliance with best practices including but not limited to the following: data management, coding standards, object-oriented designs, cloud-delivery patterns, platform and framework specific design concerns, and human interface guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Generally requires 15+ years of experience.
• 5 years+ of experience as a Software Architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited, not for profit university or college.
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.

• A broad knowledge base across engineering technologies, disciplines, and platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to evangelize solutions to all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
• Extensive experience in software engineering with expert-level proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript. Exposure to languages and platforms across the full web application stack is a big plus.
• Strong understanding of the cloud computing model, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards and best practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands on experience with cloud tools using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services or GCP or Azure, including Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SNS/SQS, S3, etc.
• Experience modeling and implementing large-scale relational and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience designing/implementing event-oriented architectures and real-time data streaming solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with test data management design patterns and implementations in a cloud environment.
• Experience with applying enterprise data management, reference data management and master data management.
• Understanding of analytic frameworks AI, machine learning, neural networks, or deep learning techniques to solve business problems.
• Deep understanding of at-scale cloud software and micro-service best practices
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others toward consensus.
• Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies

We are searching for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our collaborative group that includes a mix of big data, API, and full stack development teams. We are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate, with Data Science playing a critical role in that growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning environment.

·       Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable, and maintainable models that handle large amounts of data.

·       Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improve our customer’s experience.

·       Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college, with degree preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. MSc or PhD is a plus.

·       A track record of commitment to prior employers 

·       5+ years of professional development experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or related role

·       5+ years of programming experience with modern languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Scala.

·       Work experience with Image Classification, Object Detection, NER, or Recommendation Systems.

·       Experience building data pipelines to collect data, train and test models, measure model performance, run inference on large datasets, and output results.

·       Experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn.

·       Experience with data manipulation and visualization libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, or Plotly.

·       Strong math and analytical skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

·       Experience with databases, such as SQL Server, AWS RDS, DynamoDB.

·       Experience solving streaming and batch data processing problems at scale.

·       Experience with ML cloud tools such as Databricks, Amazon Personalize, Comprehend, SageMaker, and Rekognition.

·       Experience with integration of input data from a variety of sources.
