• Performs the full range of tasks for assigned areas such as assignment, enlistment, reenlistment, promotion, awards, performance evaluation, routine boards, separation, or similar actions and performs a substantive review of records to determine eligibility for actions

• You will coordinate, and manage programs which include performance management program, Disabled Veteran Leave, Family Medical Leave Act, Unemployment Compensation, CEAP, and other areas that impact work operations.

• You will provide guidance on the application of collective bargaining agreements, grievance processing and resolution under negotiated procedures, consultations and negotiations.

• You will apply information of labor relations concepts, principles, and practices, including non-traditional collaborative approaches to labor relations.

This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located at the Central Office, regional office or an institution in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Primary responsibilities for an office may include labor management negotiations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, staffing (recruitment, requesting certificates of eligibles and interviewing), workforce projections, Equal Employment Opportunity statistics, the performance evaluation and incentive awards programs, Senior Executive Service program, time and attendance, leave administration and employee compensation.

In this role, you will build client relationships, develop opportunities, and manage and contribute technically to challenging Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance assurance, permitting, management systems, and auditing projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical/Chemical and Technology sectors and other industrial clients throughout the Gulf, as well as other national and international locations. The successful candidate will also network with ERM's national compliance and auditing technical team to share consulting opportunities, business relationships, and the application of best practices to address client needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for expanding ERM's EHS compliance area and client base in the Texas market.  Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.  Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.

• Direct strategic environmental permits/inspection and compliance assurance programs for a variety of industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory issues.  Work closely with clients and develop strong relationships to understand specific processes and develop a permitting and compliance strategy to help clients maintain maximum operating flexibility. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

• Serve as a senior technical resource on EHS compliance assurance and permitting programs, review plans, permits, and inspection documentation prior to submittal to clients and/or agencies. 

• Capitalize on existing client relationships to expand ERM’s profile and market share in the regional environmental compliance markets (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development).

• Mentor junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning and execution of compliance projects, and in directing or conducting independent technical reviews of deliverable work products.

• Support the general growth and development of ERM’s global management systems & compliance and auditing services.  Collaborate with other ERM global practitioners to execute compliance and auditing projects, including participating on teams of professionals from multiple offices around the global organization. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/MS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental), environmental science, or related degree. PE license desired.

• 6 years of relevant experience required; 8 years preferred in environmental/compliance consulting.

• Well established reputation and recognized technical expertise by the marketplace.

• Proven experience in business development for environmental/regulatory compliance contracts, with the ability to contribute to ERM’s annual sales goals.

• Consulting experience working with SPCC, NPDES, RCRA, EPCRA, and other environmental regulations.

• Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and “people” skills.

• Established relationships with regulatory authorities and large, private-sector industrial companies (potential clients) in Texas, and the Southeastern US.
