KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Possess 1 year of working experience in an environment involving the operation and control of low-voltage electrical equipment.

• Ensures that all maintenance required to ensure the Safety, Health and Environment aspects of equipment are known and included in the preventative maintenance system, standards
• Ensures that all safety instructions, required Lock Out Tag Out Test Out (LOTOTO) and permit to work (PTW) and equipment comply to required safety measures (e.g. Safety switches, LOTOTO points)
• Immediately corrects any substandard condition or unsafe behaviour
• Reports unsafe situations and ensures adequate corrective measures are being taken on time
• Stops work when safety is at risk. Escalates with enough anticipation what capacity and support are required to get the job done safely

The Category Buyer is a key role in the local Procurement team. Reporting to the Senior Category Buyer, it has overall accountability to execute duties related to the purchasing of services, supplies and equipment in accordance with the established policies and guidelines.

The core goals will be to lead the way to expected margin targets, manage a variety of different stakeholders who will be working with you very directly and closely, and to mature the category overall and prepare for future growth. Your main challenges will be to:

• Understand business requirements;

• Manage various sub-categories with the support of Regional Buyers in Malaysia;

• Develop sourcing strategies for local country, put them in place for all portfolios and align with internal stakeholders;

• Use of sophisticated pricing models (roll-out to regions);

- Identify and prioritise opportunities to deliver total cost of ownership savings in your categories and drive the implementation of the plans to capture those opportunities.

- Proactively manage supplier relationships to deliver cost & cash results, to drive continuous improvement and position JDE as a customer of choice.

- Measure and benchmark performance to ensure that JDE has the most competitive cost base in your category.

- Drive innovation programmes in your category to continually search for cost saving opportunities, new technologies, new products and new suppliers that contribute to the overall strategy of the business.

- Contribute on sourcing strategies development for Regional categories, working closely with APAC Regional Procurement Team and execute strategies in local country.

- Define category strategies for Local categories, lead execution and track benefits realization.

- Establish and maintain portfolio of strategic agreements and key supplier relationships to manage risk in procuring Raw Materials (i.e. pricing, supply, quality, etc.).  

- Manage supplier selection for Local categories, negotiate & contract key suppliers and administer contracts; PO creation (for NCOGs categories)

- Manage supplier risk assessment (scanning via official tools and databases, financial assessment, etc.)  - Establish and analyse performance metrics in order to evaluate supplier performance.

- Keep oversight over set of contracts within category and ensure contract compliance considering payments terms, prices, discounts & rebates and performance in close collaboration with business.

- Understand the physical manufacturing process, including visiting plants to ensure guidelines are being followed, to deliver optimal goods & services to production plants.

- Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures, have a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model. - Maintain purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.

- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve the organization’s buying patterns and supply channels.

- Monitor changing trends in price and availability of coffee, understand the complexity of the market (fundamentals and technical) and ensure proper reporting on financial performance and risks to internal stakeholders. - Maintain and develop good working relationship with worldwide customers and suppliers.

Scope of Responsibilities

1. To ensure the satisfactory operation of all the specialized/TCS equipment and installations at all times.

2. To ensure services delivery are meeting the maintenance standard and requirement such as LLM APST, SIRIM ISO and Internal Audit:

• In-charge of maintenance and improvement works for Toll Collection System
• Timeliness in completing assigned tasks
• To supervise and monitor the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance and Enhancement works carried out by contractors / junior staff

3. To ensure compliance with regulations, related to the Environmental Quality Act, Safety and Health Act, and management system standards, while ensuring that the QESH achieves its intended results by incorporating

• a process approach, risk-based thinking, and implementing improvements to enhance performance.

1. Key Tasks
2.  To carry out Preventive and Corrective maintenance works.
3. To carry out 1^st level of maintenance works.
4. To prepare maintenance report on any malfunctions / defects affecting equipment.
5. To repair electronic equipment / machines.
6. To inspect all the specialised / TCS equipment.
7. To be part of the Emergency Response Team and attend to emergency situation when instructed.
8. To monitor and supervise works undertaken by maintenance contractor / junior staff.
9. To monitor and supervise interfacing works undertaken by other party which are related to the system or equipment installed.
10. To provide assistance and technical advice to other team members / maintenance contractor.
11. To perform standby duties and response promptly in the event of any equipment or system failure / malfunction in meeting the Emergency Call Back standard.
12. To attend, rectify and update status of defect or request raised in the e-Work System.
13. To attend, check and update status of the defect raised i.e. NOD / NCR in the Expressway Performance Indicator System (EPI) of LLM.
14. To prepare Requisition Form (RF) in e-PO System in obtaining management approval for the Purchase Order (PO) issuance to maintenance contractors.
15. To assist TCS section for yearly budgeting for maintenance and improvement budget i.e. minor repair, enhancement, consumable and capex.
16. To exercise safety at site for own and ensure safety procedure is implemented by contractor at work as per OSHA requirements.
17. To undertake any job assignment / improvement / planning work related to TCS and meet the needs or requirements of the company business.
18. To undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Group Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronic Engineering from Local University / Technical Institution or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in repair and maintenance of electronic equipment
• Well verse with Toll Collection System maintenance.
• Good communication skills in Malay,English language for both spoken and written
• Ability to work under pressure, independent and possess analytical and logical thinking.

As our Construction Safety Advisor you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the safety management system for construction projects. In this role you’ll also responsible for undertaking desktop and on-site safety audits and driving safe work practices within our construction projects.

• Develop and maintain construction safety management system procedures and guidance material
• Review and critique external partner project-specific safety management plans and client requirements
• Participate in High Risk workshops with the project management team
• Undertake routine onsite construction inspections to ensure safety issues are appropriately identified, assessed and risks are mitigated
• Complete site inspection reports, including findings and following up on the implementation of corrective actions
• Manage reporting processes for customer projects as well as internal reporting

• Responsible for SMT product quality issues. 
• Window to internal/external customer on quality/rejected matter.

• Analyse and recommend improvements of the overall operations and efficiencies of IT Infrastructure (Network, Server, Cloud System, Storage, Backup etc.) to support current and meet future business requirements.
• Maintain a proactive approach in attending to users’ requests, identify and troubleshoot problems, enquiries, provide advice and follow-through in meeting user needs and expectations within a stipulated time to ensure the smooth operation of the end user needs and system availability.
• Maintain the infrastructure health by performing daily monitoring, patch updates, configuration review and hardware replacement when is needed.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure projects, services and tasks are implemented as per specification and timely manner.
