The role of Direct Tax Lead SG, MY & CN is responsible for corporate income tax related matters – direct taxes including transfer pricing of legal entities based in Singapore, Malaysia and China. The primary goal is to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and tax compliance for all entities in scope.

Responsibilities:

• Act in compliance with JDE Peet’s Tax Strategy and Tax Policies.
• Preparation and ensuring timely filing of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other tax compliance obligations (e.g., Principal Hub, Pillar 2 and CbCR related) for legal entities based in Singapore, Malaysia and China, with support from external stakeholders as appropriate.
• Ensure proper transfer pricing documentations are prepared in accordance with the Transfer Pricing Guidelines for all legal entities (where applicable) based in Singapore, Malaysia and China, with support from external stakeholders as appropriate.

• May operate or maintain simple pilot plant equipment according to SOP, and assist in the training of others in said equipment
• Responsible for the delivery of JDE Commitment within the region.

• Maintain and improve/automate/digitize as needed, the Quality Control Management System (QCMS) to manage product quality and conformance in accordance with JDE guidelines and product specifications.
• Ensure Food Safety of all manufactured products by implementing the relevant JDE and legal /certification requirements (e.g. HACCP and FSSC 22000) and by continuous verification of the compliance and effectiveness of installed systems.
• Provide expertise and timely support to all functions with regard to Quality, Product Safety and technical issues arising in Operations during day-to-day business.
• Lead /participate in continuous improvement initiatives against Quality KPI's (consumer, trade and/or customer complaints, Right First Time (RFT) and specification critical to quality product and process parameters).

  • Participate in plant initiatives representing quality function to assure quality risk assessment and mitigation plans are considered to guarantee a successful start-up and transfer to operations. As part of the team manage the verification of quality KPIs for the project
  • Liaise effectively with external vendors as part of vendor management program with a focus on reducing vendor non-conformities which may impact manufacturing efficiency and waste
  • Check compliance to standards by regular GMP, HACCP, Halal and internal audits.
  • To lead the continuous improvement on GMP, sanitation and zoning. 
  • Support JDE internal and vendor management program as qualified auditor

The PLM Specialist is part of the team responsible for the maintenance of the PLM system within APAC and will support the implementation of the new PLM Software.  You will be responsible for assuring quality and trust in the data and be the first point of contact for data-related questions in your field.  You will work closely with R&D developers and PLM users to maintain PLM data flow throughout the specification lifecycle, enrich data, provide feedback to users and drive system improvement.  You are the PLM data custodian, and thanks to your action, the PLM system is trustworthy and data used as a strategic R&D asset.

This role plays a critical role in the maintenance, protection and utilisation of a critical R&D asset (our recipe know-how and IP).  This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to specifications, leveraging best in class practices throughout all R&D activities and helping to support speed to market.

• Support the implementation of the new PLM Software, user acceptance test and user support

• Ensure successful migration of the data into the new PLM software: migration, validation, completeness.

• Collaborate with specification creators within your area of responsibility, to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of product data until product retirement

• Ensure the maintenance of the product data (new data entry, parameter updates, new requirements)

• Monitor data quality periodically, raise gaps and coordinate issue resolution. 

• With guidance from manager, drive PLM system continuous improvement (design, workflow, data quality)

• Support PLM users about data extraction and reporting

• Act as data custodian and make PLM the system loved by the users and fun.
