Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Management

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Identifying the key revenue drivers of our business by sector and available capacity (both by point to point or flythru opportunities);
• Preplan ahead to forecast demand on our available flights;
• Proactively respond to unpredictable situations affecting our ability to carry cargo as planned;
• Perform the planning function in coordination with the CTO operator, to ensure the build-up process will transport all (or more) of the cargo booked on each flight;

• Responsible for total cost management of projects delivering positive outcomes for our clients, demonstrating leadership and coaching to Graduate CM, and innovation of service and knowledge.
• Carry out cost management and contract administration duties with reasonable supervision and guidance
• Lead Cost Manager for new built project
• Provide Cost Advice and Cost Planning including estimate, comparative design studies, life cycle costing, turnover/cash flow projections, cost control and cost report during pre-contract period.
• Responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
• To run the procurement process from all stages in pre-qualification such as quotation enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation
• Provide Documentation including Tender Document, Tender Report, Pre-contract correspondence, LOA and contract documents. 
• Monitor and verifying VO, Claims, Payment, Final Account and attending project meetings. Produce monthly cost reports. 
• Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database
• Process improvement – Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager
• Provide CM role pro-actively and professionally and interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages

A DAY IN A LIFE

The Assistant Manager, Cargo GSA is responsible for overseeing all cargo sales and operational activities for all Teleport GSA countries. This role involves executing transparent tenders, effective contract management, driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategy while ensuring operational excellence, and aligning with Teleport strategic vision. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and Teleport objectives.
• End to end GSA contract management - from transparent tender process and close monitoring of Guaranteed revenue performance and recommend adjustments to pricing or sales strategies as needed.
• Develop strategies to increase cargo volumes and improve load factors on key routes.
• Identify opportunities to expand the cargo product portfolio, including specialized services like e-commerce, pharma logistics, and perishables.
• Ensure seamless cargo handling operations in compliance with Teleport standards.
• Address operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Monitor revenue and expense performance against targets, ensuring profitability.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market analysis, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and reconciliation.

REQUIREMENTS

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in air cargo sales and operations, with at least 4 – 5 years experience
• Strong knowledge of air freight markets, pricing strategies, and cargo handling procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in using cargo management systems and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
