POSITION SUMMARY: 

The hotel finance controller plays a vital role in the financial management of a hotel. Responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Controller.

The finance controller works closely with the hotel’s management team to ensure that financial goals are met, and financial risks are minimized. They are responsible for analyzing financial data and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and profitability.

Some of the key responsibilities of a hotel finance controller include managing the hotel’s cash flow, preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and managing the hotel’s budget. They may also be responsible for developing financial policies and procedures, as well as implementing internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

• Strong accounting skills are required, as well as a college degree in accounting, business administration, or inventory management.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a financial management role in a hotel or other hospitality property is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. To assist engineer to draft and send out service proposal and service report.

2. Handling intake, scanning, verification and update related document to NAS.

3. To keep track on status of customer PO and work along with engineer to ensure that delivery is as per stated in the proposal. 

4. To assist in logistic arrangement for chemicals, spare parts and update the related documents.

5. To involve in preparation of all related document for plant handover which includes training slides and commissioning report.

REQUIREMENT

1. Must possess at least Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher in Engineering or Science or Equivalent.

2. Able to communicate well and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

3. At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is an added advantage.

4. Excellent computer skill, including Microsoft software.

5. Must possess travel vehicle and willing to travel.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the Department’s activities are aligned with the Corporate Finance Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

• To conduct compliance risk assessment of the organization, including reports on ML/TF/PF inherent risks, residual risks and mitigating controls, on-going compliance status and on any findings of infringements and its recommended actions. This includes institutional risk assessment (IRA), product, business risk assessment and review of business units’ policies, procedures and process to ensure compliance.
• To manage and support implementation of AML/CFT/CPF policy and procedure requirements by all business units access the organization, including robust CDD/EDD process and periodic review process, proper customer risk profiling/KYC with appropriate ML/TF/PF risk, screening requirements, enhancement of AML/CFT/CPF controls and monitoring.

The role includes establishing and on-going analysis on relevant internal criteria and red flags to detect suspicious transactions, maintenance of negative listing, managing effective day to day AML operations handling and maintenance of AML systems and monitoring tools. 
• Manage and report the unusual and / suspicious transactions with escalation of AML concerns. Support Head of Compliance in liaising with BNM, relevant regulatory and agency to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and handling of audit reviews (internal and external) engagements.
• To support Head of Compliance in updating and implementing the Group Compliance policies, manuals, procedures, systems and control mechanism in complying with applicable laws and regulations, including AML/CFT/CPF regulations and best practice.

As a Distribution Centre Controller, you support DC controlling and DC operations to achieve business results, optimiza performance and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial and operational data related to DC controlling, incl. set up and follow up on agreed budget, projects, KPIs (e.g. cost, service, sustainability) in terms of efficiency and productivity as well as quality assurance
