An exciting opportunity has come up for a Senior Paralegal looking to develop their career within a leading investments and professional services firm.

You will be joining a global business of investment professionals and will work closely with Mercer Alternatives legal, tax, compliance, and investment teams on a diverse range of private market transactions, operations and marketing content reviews.

We will rely on you to:
- Assist the legal team in all aspects of a transaction, including review and negotiation of documentation, completion of subscription documents, preparation of internal reports and presentations to investment committees, closing and execution,
- Provide support to attorneys on a wide range of legal matters such as corporate transactions and filings, closings, benefit matters, litigation support and subpoena response, insurance, regulatory, licensing and in other areas as assigned.
- Provide legal support and advice to investment teams on a range of corporate actions related to private market investments,
- Work closely with Mercer external legal counsel in relation to the above, where appropriate, to include managing timely delivery of projects and advice within agreed scope and budget,
- Supporting the wider Legal and Compliance team with internal projects and assist in other general legal matters and Compliance activities.
What you need to have:
- Previous experience gained in an international law firm or in-house legal department (ideally of an asset or fund manager, in particular with previous knowledge of private markets).
- Excellent organisational, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly power point.
- Strong commercial acumen with an ability to deliver clear and pragmatic solutions.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, proactively managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage expectations well.
