The Supply Chain Initiatives Manager plans, directs and reviews all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of finished goods from suppliers to customers for all categories.   • Provide technical support and training to operators and other stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In this position, the individual will be responsible for fully supporting the Department Manager on the development of the Company goals, strategy, and tactics.
• The most important being the ability to work with the team to assure the good execution.
• The individual will work with the team to fully support the company and department goals on yield, quality, and cost, utilization, productivity, and cycle time.
• Knowledgeable in the COP equipment : AOI machine, Auto packing, Ink printing, Baking Oven and PnP machine.
• Documentation: SOP, WI, FMEA, OCAP and Control Plan for related process.
• Ensure effective hand shaking process of new device/product introduction to the line and new process technology capabilities developments.
• Responsible for new material/component first articles inspection and final buyoff.
• Continuous improvement on direct/indirect material cost down & yield enhancement program.
• Ensure robustness of process control to meet yield & thru-put expectation.
• Report any non-conformance/customer complains issue and develop/follow up the improvement actions

Technical sales role & a part of sales team, helping organizations obtain better brand recognition and financial growth. Coordinate with company executives and local sales & marketing professionals to explore and develop high-value proposition business solution in Malaysia. Could support SEA region if required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving strategic sales initiative in Malaysia.
• Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
• Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Strong ownership and positive attitude on business development.
• Promote and sell John Crane products in accordance with the company policy, pricing guidelines and regulations.
• Pursue new market expansion opportunities in high-value proposition solution businesses, such as CCUS projects, reliability & asset management contract, turbo machinery upgrade / retrofit services and monitoring sense solution.
• Work with account sales to explore the leads and develop the opportunities.
• Dedicate to support account to connect related resource for making and presenting proposal
• Closely follow related opportunities and move the project forward.
• With good technical background and strategic thinking when promote the solution and initiative.
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives Prepare material of contract ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
• Build long-term relationships with the clients. Ability to build rapport with clients and strong connection. Account management for key customers.
• Travelling to meet the clients with sales team, coverage whole Malaysia. As well as overseas by requested.
• Ad hoc, flexible to face any contingency plan, take assigned activities organized.
• Work with the local sales staff on driving growth promoting strategic products and services Acting as technical sales to work with account sales to explore the leads and develop the opportunities.
• Support country /Sales team to achieve country /individual budgets.

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customers and industries where John Crane's solutions can provide significant value. Analyze competitors' offerings and market trends to position John Crane effectively.
• Leverage your technical knowledge to engage with customers on a deeper level. Understand their pain points and requirements and demonstrate how John Crane's solutions can address their specific needs. Offer technical insights and recommendations
• Aim to support new products selling, turbo opportunities development, like DGS & turbo system in upgrading and retrofitting.
• Dedicate to support account to connect related resource for making and presenting proposal
• Closely follow related opportunities and move the project forward. Support account sales to deliver the business result in high-value proposition products, contract and solution selling.

• rBU Product Purchasing buyer for a Product Group along the complete Product Life Cycle (included product relocation).
• rBU Purchasing Strategy, Quality and Target Cost responsibility and accountability for the related Product Group(s).
• rBU contact interface to Material Field purchasing (Commercial, Quality) / Assure aligned product messages for the related Product Group from rBU to the Material Field Purchasing.
• Escalation in the rBU for Purchasing related issues (commercial, quality, logistics).
• Prepare aligned rBU Product Group Purchasing Strategy for PT-MT/PPU.
• Definition & Maintenance of a Product Group Purchasing Strategy considering TTM and Value Stream targets.
• Product Group interface from Purchasing to rBU.
• Leading and responsible for the RPP activities in the respective Product Group (creation, implementation, cooperation cross-functionally).
• Early Supplier involvement in TTM to support Product Innovation and Target Cost Achievement    (PILUM, GENESIS).
• Support Annual Price Negotiation by providing new potential business opportunities of Product Group in pipe-line.
• Challenge and support Material Field buyers to achieve Best Material Field Costs.
• Support Material Field Buyers for contracting (e.g. SE-contracts, NDA, Concept Competition etc.).
• Create transparency of costs of Product Group by benchmarking (support the Global Product Champion).
• Responsible for achievement of Best Costs in Product Group (Benchmarking, TCO, RPP) before/after SOP.
• Responsible for Product Group related quality activities (e.g. ISIR, 8D, VQS, etc.).
• First escalation level for Quality and Logistics related supplier issues from Plant.
• Takes care of purchasing related topics/tasks in the Value Stream.

• Machine troubleshoot and maintenance. 
• Documents (FMEA/Training material /SOP/WI) generation, update and maintenance.
• Line abnormal, quality issue, yield loss investigation and in time action taken. 
• Lead KIP projects on machine performance improvement , cost reduction, yield, quality, capacity and productivity improvements.  
• Work with Process ,  R&D on machine related items.
• Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
• Follow up customer audit and action implementation
• 8D prepare and presentation for QAF/RMA cases. 
• Support other function teams for key projects.

About the role
Invenco by GVR has a big opportunity in the APAC region, and we’ve achieved some great milestones in recent years. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team as a Technical Solution Engineer. Based in Malaysia, you will be responsible for solution design, providing pre-sales and sales engineering support, managing customer relationships and solutions as well as supporting tender management.

In this position you will be involved in the following areas:

Solution Design
·       Understand, evaluate and document business needs and technical requirements of customers

·       Research and Design solutions for customers with global and internal teams using Invenco by GVR and/or Vendor products and solutions

·       Be a crucial link between customers and the company’s business development and technical delivery teams

Pre-Sales and Sales Engineering
·       Provide assistance in Production of Proposals and Statements of Work.

·       Work with Business Development team to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.

·       Demonstrate the functionality of the products and solutions to assist the sales teams to make sales which will involve customer presentations

 Project Support and Technical Resolution
·       Support during the Project Life Cycle including deployment of new releases to client’s test lab, project related issues troubleshooting/log capturing & escalation to respective team.

·       Support pilot implementation onsite/offsite including training to service partner PM with manuals & guides

·       Be a main point of contract for customer, service partner & escalation to internal team for any pilot production issues

·       Support mass deployment for Invenco by GVR customers

 About your Experience
You’ll have worked in a similar role with experience designing technical solutions. Most importantly, you will love working with customers and be able to collaborate across a range of different teams to get projects delivered.

·       3+ years experience in designing technical solutions

·       Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Engineering 

·       Proven experience working in an Agile project team environment

·       Has worked in a sales engineer or similar position.

·       Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English

·       No restrictions to travel 

·       Experience supporting payment systems (ie. Cards / POS payment industry)
