Job Description:

Aim Coffee (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control Executive to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong client relationships to support our growing business in premium coffee roasting and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Management:

•⁠ ⁠Assess and approve credit applications for new and existing customers based on company policies.

•⁠ ⁠Set appropriate credit limits and monitor accounts to minimize financial risks.

2. Payment Monitoring:

•⁠ ⁠Track and follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, or site visits.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare and distribute customer account statements and payment reminders.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

•⁠ ⁠Build strong relationships with customers to address payment concerns and negotiate payment plans when necessary.

•⁠ ⁠Provide support and resolve customer inquiries regarding invoicing and account balances.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

•⁠ ⁠Generate regular credit control and debtor reports for management review.

•⁠ ⁠Identify trends or patterns in late payments and recommend strategies for improvement.

5. Collaboration:

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with the sales and finance teams to align on customer account statuses and payment issues.

•⁠ ⁠Support the finance team in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.

6. Compliance:

•⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with internal credit control policies and industry regulations.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions and communications.

7. Administrative Tasks

•⁠ ⁠Perform general administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis to support the finance and operations teams.

•⁠ ⁠Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience (2+ years) in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role.

•⁠ ⁠Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer situations professionally.

Job Requirement:

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Preferably a member of a recognised accounting body (i.e., MIA / MICPA / ACCA / ICAEW or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in related fields, including audit experience, in well-established professional services firms will be an added advantage.
• Have sound knowledge of international and local accounting as well as auditing standards.

• Maintain and improve/automate/digitize as needed, the Quality Control Management System (QCMS) to manage product quality and conformance in accordance with JDE guidelines and product specifications.
• Ensure Food Safety of all manufactured products by implementing the relevant JDE and legal /certification requirements (e.g. HACCP and FSSC 22000) and by continuous verification of the compliance and effectiveness of installed systems.
• Provide expertise and timely support to all functions with regard to Quality, Product Safety and technical issues arising in Operations during day-to-day business.
• Lead /participate in continuous improvement initiatives against Quality KPI's (consumer, trade and/or customer complaints, Right First Time (RFT) and specification critical to quality product and process parameters).
• Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) arising from different sources, such as

  • Implement Statistical Process Control where appropriate to improve compliance to specification measured by capability indices for critical to quality product and process parameters
  • Embed the use of problem-solving and progressive quality tools including root cause analysis (RCA), Kaizen, FMEA by providing training and evaluation of application
  • Participate in plant initiatives representing quality function to assure quality risk assessment and mitigation plans are considered to guarantee a successful start-up and transfer to operations. As part of the team manage the verification of quality KPIs for the project
  • Liaise effectively with external vendors as part of vendor management program with a focus on reducing vendor non-conformities which may impact manufacturing efficiency and waste
  • Check compliance to standards by regular GMP, HACCP, Halal and internal audits.
  • To lead the continuous improvement on GMP, sanitation and zoning. 
  • Support JDE internal and vendor management program as qualified auditor

  • Leadership: 

  • Support Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) activities to deliver Food Safety/Quality Culture engagement and ongoing improvements Verify implementation of actions including lessons learned from other manufacturing plants. Drive horizontal expansion of improvement ideas in the plant across lines and embed in OPLs or standards

• Supervise and ensure the quality of finished product is maintained.

Laboratory & Incoming

• Supervise, monitor and assure quality of incoming raw materials, in-process product & end product in accordance to product specifications & customer requirements.

• Assist to co-ordinate new product developments with R&D in terms of formulation of products.  
• Documentations, involved verifying Quality Control Record.
• Supervise and ensure in issues related to safety and quality.
• Assist to co-ordinate & oversee quality checking activities inclusive of food safety.
• To assist Quality inspectors, Checkers to carry out quality inspection.

Quality Check & Outgoing

• Inspect and record timely of all results in quality records.
• Responsible for line inspection to ensure production operation and process are in accordance with the required standard.
• Highlights non-conformance of production operation, semi process and finish products promptly to related personnel for immediate corrective actions.
• To control process deviation and eliminate the cause of quality products thus reducing unnecessary wastage.
• To carry out hygiene inspection and highlight any inadequacies.
• Carry out lab testing from incoming of raw material to finish products.

To support and contribute to the delivery and growth of Control Risks’ Security Design Practice across Asia Pacific (APAC), The role will involve working on various security design-led projects across the region by providing support to Control Risks’ design team with the design deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to identifying new opportunities, developing proposals and presenting to prospective clients and stakeholders
• Develop project plans, travel to client sites, offices where appropriate.
• Attend weekly meetings with the project stakeholders, be very attentive to details and minutes all actions that are related to our discipline
• Deliver security design consultancy assignments ranging from simple to complex tasks
• Drafting design stage documents such as technical specification documents, power loads calculation, tender evaluation reports, etc.

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a security design professional, or in a related field
• Capable of working with CAD 2D to a level that can deliver design layouts that match our internal standards
• A sound understanding of the design engineering elements
• Proven track record of successful security design consultancy projects, preferably within Asia or similar environment.
• A good understanding of all project design stages referred to as RIBA design stages, such as Conceptual Design, Developed Design, Technical Design, etc.
• Good knowledge and experience in design and implementation of integrated electronic security systems and physical security measures such as:

1. Video surveillance systems.
2. Access control systems.
3. Intruder detection systems.
4. Intercommunications systems.
5. Security fences, gates, barriers, locking systems, secure rooms.

• Working knowledge in the design of local security equipment rooms, main security equipment rooms and control room
• A good understanding on how to build a dedicated secure security network with considerations on network bandwidth and cybersecurity requirements
• Good knowledge and understanding of the well-known security management systems (i.e., Genetec, Gallagher and the likes)
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams

Role purpose

This is a leadership role focused on executing our sales and marketing strategies in the newly established Malaysia geomarket.

The primary goal of this role is to focus, coordinate, and align all client engagement activities in the geomarket with our strategic objectives, ultimately fostering new business development, account growth and achieving commercial goals.

This role will also include support and mentorship for the consultants based in the Malaysia geomarket to ensure alignment, employee engagement and coordinated operations, and will require a certain level of governance and compliance oversight.

Ultimately, this role is responsible for realising the full potential of the geomarket.

Tasks and responsibilities

Strategy

• Contribute to the evolving vision of Control Risks business in Malaysia, providing insights and expertise to help shape, grow and future-proof the business.
• Develop and implement the business development strategy across Malaysia, working with the Geomarket Head for South-East Asia and the wider Asia Pacific Partner group to maximise regional success and alignment across all business areas and to meet the company’s commercial goals.
• Reinforce a client-centric and client-solutions culture, leading by example.
• Promote Control Risks in Malaysia to ensure the company is consistently presented as a strong, positive brand to relevant stakeholders
• Reinforce status as a provider of choice by being seen as a thought leader on strategic risk matters in Malaysia, working collaboratively with the Service Line Heads for the Asia Pacific region and Marketing lead for Asia Pacific.
• Gather insights on clients’ operations and on new projects of interest and market activity to ensure informed and opportunistic business development.

Leadership

• Serve as the head of the Malaysia office, ensuring the effective, efficient and compliant running of the office, and serving as the escalation point and in-country support and advice for all business-enabling functions.
• Lead from the front in sales, market engagement and account management, driving a culture of business development and high performance in Malaysia.
• Ensure commercial opportunities are optimised and managed smoothly and successfully.
• Provide leadership for the Malaysia geomarket team, including those in Group, APAC regional, and embedded roles based in Malaysia. Ensure alignment, employee engagement, and coordinated operations through regular all-hands meetings and other formal and informal communications as needed.

Business development and client management

• Support the origination of sales and fee-earning opportunities from within the geomarket through both direct (personal) sales and enabling other client-facing colleagues to originate sales within the geomarket.
• In collaboration with Partners and business leaders, drive innovative profitable client solutions and business development initiatives, including proactively initiating new client relationships.
• Independently and in collaboration with the Geomarket Head of South-East Asia, identify high-impact potential clients and be involved in nurturing them as appropriate.
• Work with the South-East Asia management team to both identify and directly manage individual clients and a portfolio of clients within Malaysia, focused on attraction, retention and growth.
• In conjunction with Marketing, manage the implementation of the marketing and sales strategy including the networking of clients within the Group.
• In conjunction with Geomarket Head of South-East Asia, set business development targets that will meet top-line budgeted sales and allow for measurement of team and individual performance
• Act as a brand ambassador for Control Risks in Malaysia by being present within business leader groups, attending regular networking events, external conferences and be an active participant within the business and media communities.

Business Management

• Monitor and evaluate top-line sales performance in the Malaysia geomarket to ensure that the financial return to Control Risks is as planned.
• Work closely as need be with the South-East Asia Financial Controller on cash collection and other commercial issues.
• Working with the Service Line Heads, ensure widespread compliance in the Malaysia geomarket with company processes and systems, most particularly CRM and D365, and be a champion for their use and their benefit.

Risk Management

• Monitor risks to the Malaysia business and report as appropriate (including maintaining the geo-market Risk Register) to the CEO Asia Pacific, HR Director Asia Pacific and Group Risk and Insurance Manager.
• Ensure that all Control Risks activities are compliant with federal and state laws and regulations in Malaysia.

• Excellent knowledge of, and demonstrable experience in Malaysia, and a proven recent commercial track record in the geomarket.
• Extensive knowledge of the risk industry, clients and competitors.
