  • Take ownership of competitor-related information gathered from customers, riders, and vendors. Work closely with other department heads/directors, including but not limited to those in pricing, deals/discounts, and overall experience, to stay informed about any relevant movements in the market.

• Special Projects

  • Drive special initiatives that have top-line / bottom-line impact across Malaysia.

  • Manage and oversee strategic C-level projects from ideation to execution.

  • Build project plans with end-to-end ownership, from planning through delivery, as required.

As Safety & Security Manager, you will lead and spearhead all these initiatives below as mentioned. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara Desaru Coast Resort &Villas' team members always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Ensure the effective implementation of all operational security procedures within the hotel.

• To professionally conduct full inquiries and follow-up activities for all security related incidents.
• As required, to carry out formal searches on employees, locker rooms and place of work as directed by hotel management, with the presence of Human Resources Executive as a witness.  All people interviewed or searched are to be presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
• To organize the Security Fire Fighting Team in the event of an emergency.

Safety Function

•  Lead to uphold safety laws and regulations in Malaysia, create a safe work environment, and prevent job-related incidents at the hotel/resort. This includes conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and executing preventive measures.
• Train and inspire team members to follow our company's occupational health and safety protocols. Be responsible for investigating work-related incidents and injuries, providing comprehensive reports, and suggesting preventative actions.
• Additional duties involve gathering safety statistics, preparing reports, and carrying out other safety tasks.

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, maintaining Front Office and brand standards and maximizing the quality level of products and services to achieve the highest guest satisfaction. This will include managing the performance of the team members: designing, implementing and monitoring the impact of training (including IT systems and guest service procedures) for all Front Office team members, capturing and implementing best current practice SOPs relating to Front Office operation. Manage the functioning of all departmental team members, facilities, sales and costs, to ensure maximum departmental profit. • Lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) aspects of the Interconnection Facility (IF) for Utility-Scale Solar projects.

• Possess at least 7 years of working experience in the development or operation of Interconnection Facility (IF) up to 132kV.

• Certified competent person by Suruhanjaya Tenaga in 33kV or 132kV discipline.
• Expert in protection co-ordination studies and configuration of major relay brands approved for by TNB for Utility-Scale Solar Interconnection Facility.

Member Experience and Community

• Manage all venue operations and communicate with market support to ensure highest level of member satisfaction.
• Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, such as member introductions, events and social media engagement
• Solve member-related issues to ensure a cohesive community and manage member expectations. Meet with members to resolve issues, process member terminations and other issues of complexity.
• Proactively gather data on members’ business objectives and identify both the Company and member services that could help members achieve their objectives.
• Design and implement rules, guidelines and best practices for the community to optimize member experience.
• Recommend best practices, including but not limited to community management, sales, events, training, and member experience on a company-wide level.
• Resolve member complaints regarding other members through neutral fact investigation and process termination of membership when warranted.
• It is the responsibility of all CMs to manage their respective members payments, and to work with Accounts department to make sure all members pay in a timely manner.
• Renewals also fall under the responsibility of the CM.

Business Development, Retention and Sales

• Work with the Country Manager to ensure the business reaches 100% occupancy rate
• Identify promising deals with potential members and ensure that your team provides informative, high-quality tours to drive membership sales
• Notify, manage and work alongside internal teams to ensure a high retention rate of current members
• Develop strategies to drive sales, increase revenue and interest for your location
• Ensure that all enquiries are followed up on, and that negotiations and sales closures are taking place
• Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and landlords.
• Creative and constantly think outside the box to find solutions to meet growing sales targets

Finance and Administration

• Obtain and analyse P&L reports, and conduct variance analysis when required
• Prepare weekly reports and share with relevant stakeholders
• Prepare monthly invoices by working collaboratively with the Finance Team

Building Operations and Management

• Work closely with Community Officers, manage move-ins and move-outs; ensuring that all new members are fully prepared, and transitions run smoothly
• Manage all operations and maintenance of the space to ensure a consistently high-quality experience for members
• Ensure all building receipts and documents are up-to-date and documented, providing internal teams with weekly and monthly reports as needed
• Identify and resolve issues presented, i.e. insufficient cleaning staff, repeating IT-related failures, malfunctioning conference room equipment, etc.
• Know and be able to implement member safety plans, i.e. fire and emergency plans.

Team Management & Development

• Manage, inspire, support and guide your team to reach sales goals and execute on their objectives as an individual and a team.
• Review daily reports and work with team to finalize weekly and monthly reports that outline community and sales progress.
• Identify knowledge gaps, and train and/or arrange training with HR when necessary
• Provide learning and development opportunities and make recommendations to promote the best-performing Community Officers and/or Community Assistant Managers.
• Hold weekly team meetings to delegate, recognise achievements, encourage, and keep the team up-to-date with any process changes

Stakeholder Management

To manage the stakeholders and reconcile their respective targets, with the ultimate aim of achieving the desired yearly budgets.

The Office Automation and Technical Support Manager is responsible for overseeing office technology systems, managing IT support, and leading the entire lifecycle of all workstation equipment e.g. laptops and devices.  This will cover all staff in all Malaysian offices (Titiwangsa, Menara KH, Cyberjaya, Penang)

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Office Automation Management: 

• Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of office automation tools (e.g., M365, Microsoft Dynamics, JIRA). 
• Work closely with department heads to assess needs and identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline office workflows. 
• Manage vendor relationships and liaise with external service providers to ensure timely upgrades, support, and integration of systems. 

2. Internal Technical Support: 

• Lead the internal technical support team to provide high-quality, timely support for staff on hardware, software, and network-related issues. 
• Implement and maintain helpdesk systems to track, prioritize, and resolve employee IT issues efficiently. 
• Develop and enforce IT support policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain smooth operations and ensure security compliance.

3. Equipment Procurement and Management:

4. System Management & Upgrades: 

• Oversee the regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of office hardware and software systems. 
• Ensure all office technology, including printers, computers, phones, and networking equipment, is functioning optimally. 
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols to safeguard company data and ensure business continuity.
