About the role:

• Provide up to date detailed collection notes listing actions on every past-due invoice in the ARCM system (Accounts Receivable Collection Management).
• Maintain a filing system in accordance to internal and local document retention policies (i.e. upload the remittance advice to the deposit in exp.o Accounting).
• Proactively identify problem accounts and follow up queries via email/telephone to effectively resolve issues through building key relationships with Customers and Internal Staff.
• Produce Exception Reports for the Weekly AR Meeting per company AR Goals (Aging Analysis, No Bad Debt, 100% Collection within Terms, No OCL (Over Credit Limit)) and maintain meeting minutes.
• Prepare the bad debt calculation (Trade AR Allowance) and the bad debt roll forward schedule for the monthly P&L.
• Assist Controller with Credit tasks in line with the Global Credit Policy (maintain Customer payment terms, company rating & risk rating; evidence in e.doc Global Lookup the establishment and approval of credit in the BCR system (Branch Credit Request) and performance of annual credit reviews).
• Setup and maintain Service Provider account in exp.o GCI.
• Record payable header in exp.o Accounting system upon receipt and distribute to Internal Staff for allocation details.
• Review and submit payable detail in exp.o Accounting system, ensuring overhead expenses are allocated to the correct cost center, operational costs are matched against the appropriate provision, and Tax is accounted for.
• Perform Service Provider payable audits on a regular basis to check rates to agreed rates and services are accounted for in the correct product and cost GL.
• Review and approve Employee Expense Reimbursements in Concur system providing valid supporting documentation is attached, record journal in exp.o Accounting per Concur extract and perform monthly GL reconciliation.
• Verify Service Provider payables by reconciling to Service Provider Statements, ensure invoices are approved in time to meet established payment cycle.
• Schedule and prepare payments in exp.o Accounting system and the Banking system.
• Maintain a filing system in accordance to internal and local document retention policies (i.e. upload the invoice to the payable and the vendor statement to the payment in exp.o Accounting).

About the role:

The Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for providing assistance to the sales team in identifying clients’ needs, proposing and demonstrating the financial solutions for insurance companies (Enterprise Accounting System) and works in conjunction with the Sales Executives to pursue high value software and services sales and business development opportunities within FIS’s current and prospective client base to achieve or exceed yearly sales goals, increase market share and maximize profits.

The Pre-Sales Consultant works closely with FIS’s sales executives, partners plus Product Development and Global/APAC Services to help identify, develop, and deliver sales of the insurance solutions. He also can be working as a team with the regional Sales and Pre-Sales for the same objective. He/she is responsible for developing and managing the clients technical and end user relationships and assisting sales executives in selling the strategic vision at c-level to board level as required.

What you will be doing

• Through direct communication with prospective clients, work with the Sales Executives to gain a thorough understanding of their business needs, system needs, various requirements.

• Help develop and articulate the solution to clients.

• Conduct Proof of Concept via developing some sample portals, interfaces, workflows, rules, etc. to demonstrate the capability of the entire solution

• Demonstrate the financial solutions to current and prospective clients

• Provide business and technical input to RFP’s, client proposals, etc.

• In conjunction with the Sales Executives help manage and control the sales cycle from initial prospect contact, client needs analysis, solution presentation, completion of proposals, delivery schedules and product specifications.

• Lead GTM initiatives for business development and incremental revenue

• Be customer technical focal point and co-ordinate with other company’s resources regionally and locally

• Maintain an effective presence at industry events, conferences, seminars and trainings as required.

• Maintain expertise in related insurance industry issues (financial and accounting especially for IFRS17) relative to trends, competition, and customer needs.

• Maintain expertise relative to the function and technology of the FIS and partners insurance product offering in order to represent and sell effectively.

• He/she will be assuming the role of trainer for internal staff who is supporting the insurance business locally. 

What you bring

• Strong experience in Insurance domain specially Life Insurance. Experience in GI, Reinsurance or Takaful will be an advantage

• Hands on experience of working on Finance Transformation projects for Insurers including but not limited to IFRS 17, Process Automation and Transformation, Reporting automation.

• In depth understanding of financial software application landscape.

• In depth understanding of IT landscape for an Insurer.

• In depth knowledge of policy life cycle management and different downstream systems that rely on the data from the source Policy Admin system

• Knowledge of the insurance eco-system is a distinct advantage.

• Knowledgeable on policy admin system implementation/change management

• Knowledge of Actuarial systems/process will be an advantage

• Knowledge of the Prophet system a distinct advantage.

• Deep understanding of IFRS17 requirements, ERP solutions and services.

• Deep understanding of an insurance company’s financial close process

• Be able to hands on to develop POCs for financial accounting, reporting, business rules, reconciliation etc.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Fluent in English.

• Team player with a strong sense of ownership.

• Must have worked in business consultancy -related or any financial system for at least 3 years

• Must have experience in financial/accounting system (preferably insurance related) at least 8-10 years

• Location will be based in Singapore or Hong Kong

• Around 15-25% of travel will be required
