The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Chief, Career Development in administering all aspects of the section. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position. Supervisory duties are performed less than 25 percent of the work year.

Duties:
1. Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Career Development programs for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and unit reservists.

Maintains qualifications and proficiency in First Aid and CPR certification. Routinely briefs on-base and off-base organizations regarding the variety of programs offered by Outdoor Recreation. Operates ODR reservation system and provides employee training. Administers Safety Program for ODR employees. Maintains facility to meet operational standards. Ensures compliance with EEO and personnel directives. Maintains time and attendance for NAF employees. Evaluates performance and recommends awards. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as the agency lead for assigned operational testing of Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Category (ACAT) I, II, or DoD oversight for major weapon system programs. Leads, plans, coordinates, executes, and reports on operational test activities during the design, development, production and fielding of new and/or modified major DoD weapon systems.

DUTIES:

1. Serves as the Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) Program Manager for assigned weapon systems and subsystems.
2. Designs, develops, and directs the operational test plan for assigned ACAT I, II, or DoD oversight major weapons systems programs.
3. Responsible for the final report that will be submitted to Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) who will, in turn, present it to Congress to support the Full Rate Production decision or stop further development of new or modified weapon systems.
4. Executes, chairs, and/or attends test events, integrated test planning meetings, Joint Reliability and Maintainability Evaluation Team (JRMET) meetings, deficiency report boards (DRB), core teams, critical design reviews, and any other meetings necessary to plan and execute integrated operational testing and evaluations (IOT&E).

- Performs inspection and troubleshooting on. a variety of complete operational aircraft recipr-0cating or gas turbine engines in aircraft on the flightline, rebuilt or modified engines in test cells, or on the "penalty line" if correcting the defects will require extensive disassembly.

- Removes, disassembles, repairs, modifies, reassembles, and reinstalls aircraft engines, their assemblies, and components to include Auxiliary Power Units.
