The University of St Andrews is delighted to announce a new position of International Education Liaison Officer. This exciting role will support the recruitment, conversion and selection of students to the University and will work across different services within the Admissions unit to enhance the University's global footprint and recruitment success.
Working in a fast-paced environment, the role will have a particular focus on supporting recruitment, conversion and marketing activity in Southeast Asia and Oceania attracting exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate students and strengthening St Andrews’ presence in these regions. In addition to solidifying our position in existing markets through attending events and supporting our agent representatives in country, the postholder will also play an important role in feeding back new market development insight and opportunities for alternative recruitment approaches.
The role demands a candidate with an ability communicate effectively across cultures and with a diverse range of stakeholders both within the University (academic Schools, professional services), and externally with prospective applicants and their influencers, school and institutional partners and agent representatives. They will be expected to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service in all interactions, and most specifically will be responsible for taking the lead in managing the University’s overseas agent representative network globally to enhance recruitment and conversion.
The post holder will be proficient in a range of digital technologies, helping to establish and enhance the St Andrews global brand, whilst ensuring regionally and audience appropriate platforms and channels are fully utilised. They will help ensure applicants from all backgrounds are supported through the admissions process, and should be comfortable monitoring and interpreting data, and presenting findings in suitably tailored reports in a timely way.
